For those new to the Strumpette, we've been hosting a caption contest. Each month since the beginning of the year, we've posted a picture; and each month we've subsequently chosen one caption and awarded a cash prize. (For past announcements and winners click here.)
Anyway, we've narrowed June down to 5. Our favorites are by Doug Haslam, Bruce Pilgrim, Eric Yaverbaum, Dennis Spring and Rodd Simonsen. But we're totally at an impasse. Would you help us please?
Below is the photo for June as well as a polling application. Take a second and pick your favorite. We'll keep this open until Sunday 12 PM CDT and announce the winner next Monday.
Doug, Bruce, Eric, Dennis, Rodd... the $1,000 is almost yours. Good luck!
NOTICE: Wednesday, 12:26 PM CDT, voting has been suspended. We suspect that the poll has been hacked. We are presently working with Blogflux to see if we can rectify the situation. Please standby. Sorry for the inconvenience.
To enter is simple. If you've got the creative stuff to be in PR, this is easy money. Write a caption, 40 words or less and email it along with your contact info to firstname.lastname@example.org. That's it! At the end of the month, we'll select one winner and send you the cash.
What are we looking for? Well, creativity and originality. And, of course, this being Strumpette, you know we're going to be swayed by sass and succinctness. Click here for the Official Rules.
C'mon! This is the easiest one yet! AND IT'S FOR A THOUSAND BUCKS! If it takes you more than 5 minutes, you're a total slacker. :)
On Thursday, March 8, 2007 at 7:41 AM, Ronn Torossian, President and CEO of 5WPR, emphatically promised that he was going to sue us. No real reason, he was just irritated by our teasing him about getting in bed with pornographer Joe Francis. Anyway, Ronn gave his obscenity-laced word that we'd see the complaint in 72 hours. It's now late by
