Strumpette Prende Quattro Stelle

grazieWell, we haven't seen the Times or the Post... yet, but your Strumpette has gotten a lot of feedback far more dear. I've gotten letters of encouragement from hundreds of our loyal fans and readers. I am overwhelmed and deeply grateful. Grazie dal cuore.

Here are a few excerpts:

"Strumpette is a remarkable breath of fresh air. Keep up the good work, and again, please know that you have a new fan, a new admirer, a new contributor, and a new colleague in me."

"Hilarious -- looking forward to reading you."

"I love guilty pleasures."

"Good start Amanda! You've got a good 'blog' voice."

"I also applaud the artist."

"This is gonna be a juicy blog for sure. Best of luck."

"You started off with a bang. Keep it edgy..."

"I just find the immediate and full-breathed reaction to this site fascinating and telling. For now, it's a great art project regardless of who the artist is."

And if that weren't enough to make a girl absolutely supple...

Here are a few of a more deliberative nature:

"Please do not let the naysayers get you down. What we need in this business are fresh perspectives, new ideas, stimulating debate, and intellectual curiosity to move this industry to the next level. In my view, that is what Strumpette is about. The irony is that even with the advent of new media communications, including the explosion of PR blogs, we are continuing to see the same old, outdated, stale thinking being continuously recycled by some of the, purportedly, most experienced minds in our profession -- just in a technology-driven medium. I find it incredibly odd...and sad."

"As a fellow long-time PR professional with about the same number of years, accolades, top-notch education, and blue-chip clients as you, I only have one word for you: Bravo! Your sardonic sense of humor, coupled with your extraordinary industry insight and expertise, make for a very powerful combination, indeed -- and, of course, fascinating reading."

"The industry needs more people like you who are not afraid to lay bare what this industry is truly like: the good, the bad, and the ugly. How can we correct the problems if we do not acknowledge them directly, debate them in the court of public opinion, and then develop real-world, practical solutions to solve them? Hopefully, Strumpette will serve as a tremendous step forward in that direction. I certainly applaud you for your efforts, and I look forward to contributing here to your already-exceptional perspectives."

Thank you Richard, Tom, Keith, David, Peter, Giovanni, Sean, Daniel, Alex.

And last, but definitely not least, here is the one most dear to my heart from Luca: "Congratulazioni, Strumpette! Il tuo blog e' molto interessante e divertente. E devo dire che, essendo napoletano, gradisco in modo particolare il tuo apprezzamento per l'Italia! Ciao, Luca."

Caro Luca. Mille Grazie. Veramente, ha un buon senso d'umore. Sfortunatamente, non penso che tutti gli Americani pensano cosi. Poverini. La vita e troppo corto.

Mi scrivi al piu presto?!

Arrivederci amore, ciao.

PR Quote of the Day

"It is important for PR to involve regular people through social media to provide observations that humanize and connect, so that the ‘voice of authority’ is friend and confidante."

Current Lawsuit Clock

On Thursday, March 8, 2007 at 7:41 AM, Ronn Torossian, President and CEO of 5WPR, emphatically promised that he was going to sue us. No real reason, he was just irritated by our teasing him about getting in bed with pornographer Joe Francis. Anyway, Ronn gave his obscenity-laced word that we'd see the complaint in 72 hours. It's now late by

Anthone who has to delcare that they are "authentic" must presumably take the view that they are perceived as not being "authentic" - something which might be of concern in a PR company

Be careful using the word authentic too often. Might later come off as "synthetic authenticity"
