This just in via Google Alerts... Renowned PR guru Jared Myers of Ketchum Worldwide is scheduled to speak at Clarion University in Pittsburg this coming Monday, November 19.

We've learned that Myers will address topics that include: the life of an agency PR professional, his personal career climb, and advice on how to break into the public relations field.

Meyers, who's known among the profession's most senior ranks as "hey you," currently serves Ketchum Public Relations as a senior account executive. He works on the Kellogg Company account; and does lots of stuff in support of the Special K and All-Bran brands.

Prior to joining Ketchum, Myers worked for a small advertising and PR agency in Virginia Beach as an account executive. As the resident public relations/golf and fishing enthusiast, Myers main responsibilities were to escort golf and fishing editors, reporters and television producers to Virginia Beach's best golf and fishing hot spots.

Myers attended Slippery Rock University and graduated with a bachelor of science degree in creative writing.

The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. in room 107 of Founders Hall. It is open to all interested Clarion University students and faculty.
