Well here's some good news: Looks like our friend Kevin Dill over at PRNN has cut a deal with Marketwire. Fantastic!
Marketwire Acquires Leading Social Media News Network
LOS ANGELES - Marketwire, a full-service newswire solutions provider, has announced an agreement to acquire Press Release News Network (PRNN), one of the leading social and multimedia press release distribution networks.
The acquisition gives Marketwire a unique capability in the burgeoning social media area. PRNN's reach into the SM channels is unparalleled. The network includes all U.S. metropolitan areas, as well as 92 countries and 1,000 international cities. PRNN also has roughly 25,000 RSS feeds. PRNN is also optimized for all the major search engines. The network is indexed in nine languages on sites like Yahoo! Japan, Yahoo! China, Google India and others.
"A majority of our clients are looking at social media as the new channel for communicating their messages globally," said Thom Brodeur, senior vice president, global strategy & development for Marketwire. "Now with he acquisition of PRNN, we can reach the audiences they care about most, anywhere in the world, anytime, and in a format that social media embraces."
In addition to the largest social media distribution network, PRNN has exclusive rights to press release distribution through Second Life. Other proprietary features of PRNN include: PRWizardT -- a social media press release development tool, and PRStatsT -- a tracking tool that displays how effectively search engines are indexing a release. Additionally, all audio and podcast links in a social media release over the PRNN network are automatically sent to the Apple iTunes PRNN channel for additional exposure and availability.
Kevin Dill, founder of PRNN, said. "The opportunity to work with such a talented team with a focus on delivering valuable next-gen social and multimedia products was an opportunity I just couldn't pass up. I am excited to call Marketwire home and to see the PRNN vision fully realized."
Congratulations Kevin. Continued success.
