CHICAGO – Strumpette, the widely-popular PR industry journal authored by web celeb Amanda Chapel, today announced that she's bested Edelman CEO Richard Edelman on the internationally acclaimed Power 150 Index. At the time of this release, Strumpette ranking put Amanda at 44th, while Richard's blog 6 A.M. trailed with a rank of 48th.
The Powers 150 is a ranking of the top marketing blogs globally. Automated with daily updates, the index uses a multimetric algorithm based on the sum of four unique sources: Google PageRank, Bloglines Subscribers, Technorati Ranking, and Todd And Points.
- Google PageRank is a link analysis algorithm that interprets web links and assigns a numerical weighting (0 to 10) to each site. High-quality sites receive a higher PageRank.
- Bloglines displays the amount of feed subscribers. Subscriber ranges are assigned a weighted number (1 to 20).
- Technorati ranking analyzes the number of sites pointing to a particular blog. The more link sources referencing your blog, the higher the Technorati ranking. This is calculated similarly to the Bloglines Subscribers value.
- Todd And Points assigns values based on frequency, relevance, creativity and quality. The use of audio, video and graphics is also heavily weighted.
Strumpette managing editor, Amanda Chapel said: "Yoo-hoo, Richard. Yooooo hooooo! Like my bum?"
