MWW Launches "Appear Green, Make Cash" Campaign
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., March 6 /PRNewsSpreader/ -- MWW Group, one of the nation's highest billing PR and surreptitious marketing firms, today announced that it is launching a campaign to cash in on all the present hype around the "green" movement. The program, "Appear Green, Make Cash" is a plan to pay lip service to reducing waste, conserving energy and becoming environmentally conscious, all the way to the bank.
"This year marks our 20th anniversary and we're celebrating our success by giving back to the planet," said Michael W. Kempner, president and CEO of MWW Group, holding back a snicker. Recomposing himself, with a total straight face Kempner added: "We're doing our part in the effort to fight global warming, preserve natural resources and help create energy independence for our country. This isn't just about the critical issue of global warming; it's also about energy independence, which in the end has a dramatic impact on our economy and our national security."
The firm is instituting a number of minor administrative "protocols" concerning energy use and environmental responsibility. Among the new "policies," MWW Group will now require that all offices recycle pop cans, plastic and glass bottles. The agency will continue to recycle the newspapers received by its offices. The firm is also changing all its light bulbs to fluorescent if it can find any that aren't already.
"Doing our small part to fight climate change doesn't take a lot of effort," Kempner said. "It just takes a willingness to do the simple things like turning off the lights at the end of the day."
Bottom line: These incidental and meaningless efforts could mean big dollars for the firm. Through its corporate social responsibility and sustainable technologies practices, MWW Group will ratchet up its efforts to sell, create and implement programs for companies that appear to promote and create green technologies.
"I'm also pleased and excited to help launch corporate social responsibility and sustainable technology campaigns for the growing number of clients who share our commitment to make a positive contribution through green programs and technologies," Kempner said.
