Massey University Stresses the Rigor in PR Study
This just in from our New Zealand correspondent... a news announcement from Massey University, one of New Zealand's leading educational institutions. The news depicts the rigor in PR Study there.
Taking public relations to 'Candyland'
Public relations students took a magical journey to "Candyland" to seek knowledge and sweet treats recently.
A team of students created the Candyland game on a $10 budget as part of their course, Introduction to Public Relations.
Players dressed up as customers, investors, media and marketers, and advanced through Candyland by correctly answering multi-choice questions about course material.
The quizmaster "Mr. Mint" (student Andrew Wood) was assisted by "fairy helper", Charlotte Larruthers, Emily Oakes and Tracy Starr.
Ms. Starr said the idea was to have fun and raise students' awareness of public relations.
Like all universities that offer programs in Public Relations today, students at Massey take a variety of courses in public relations, communication, and marketing. This ensures that each student in the public relations major is thoroughly prepared to enter the public relations career field and be successful.
