NEW YORK and BOCA RATON, Fla., May 8 /PRNewswire/ -- NewsMark Public Relations has been retained by New York Sausage King Ronnie Mandler to herald the expansion of his sausage kingdom into a nationwide franchise.
NewsMark CEO Mark Hopkinson said, "There is nothing quite like Mandler's The Original Sausage Co. While for decades Americans have enjoyed the classic hot dog, frankfurter, frank, weenie, wiener, or dog as a cultural icon, Mandler's has taken this American phenomenon even further by upgrading it to a delicious high-quality 9 1/2" long European-style sausage."
Founded by garment industry executive Ronnie Mandler, Mandler's The Original Sausage Co. is the first of what he hopes will be a quick serve franchise of euro-style restaurants poised to change the perception of the quick serve industry in a way that Starbucks wooed coffee drinkers.
"I wanted to bring to the U.S. the gourmet sausage meal I have always enjoyed on my trips to Europe but could never find in the U.S.," Mandler explains. The concept has evolved into a New York phenomenon and a potentially lucrative small business opportunity for restaurant franchises.
NewsMark Public Relations is a full-service PR agency founded by Mark Hopkinson, a former U.S. media strategist for the British government and BBC trained journalist. The firm specializes in personal, political and corporate image building with an emphasis on influential media placements and strategic communications.
Wow! Imagine if Starbucks had wooed coffee drinkers like that.
"9 1/2" long European-style sausage" - certainly doesn't apply to the British Deputy Prime Minister, John Prescott, whose manhood was described as more like a 'cocktail sausage' in recent revelations about his extra marital affair.
And don't believe the hype. London isn't full of people hawking mystery bags of 'meat' scraped from factory floors. Asking for 'a nice bit of sausage' probably isn't a good idea for the less adventurous visitors to our fair corner of euroland.
Hot dogs are not that big an issue in the UK, we prefer quality rather than quantity. I live near Newmarket and they are very famous for their sausages, I hear they are even posted to different parts of the world.
